• A Guide to Involving Volunteers (£0 for Camden members)
  Do you have colleagues that work with volunteers? This half-day training course provides an overview of how to set up a volunteer programme and is ideal for anyone new to volunteer management or an organisations wishing to move from an informal to a more structured volunteer programme. The day covers topics such as planning, recruiting, inducting and supervising volunteers.
• Volunteer Recruitment and Induction Made Easy
  This session aims to provide a general understanding of the process of recruitment and volunteer inductions. It is ideal for anyone involved in setting up or recruiting volunteers for community groups or larger charities.
• Volunteer Support and Supervision
  Once a volunteer has started with you it can be said they are worth their weight in gold! It is important that there are mechanisms in place to make sure volunteers are satisfied and working well. This course explores different methods of support and supervision and will help you find a model that works for you. It is ideal for volunteer managers who are looking for advice on volunteer support and retention.
• Mental Health Awareness
  This session aims to provide an overview of mental health issues and how to identify mental distress. The session will also explore volunteer support needs and methods of supporting volunteers on placement including ways in which organisations can overcome barriers to volunteering faced by people with mental health problems.
• Creating good Role Descriptions and Volunteer Packs
  Making our volunteers feel welcome and provide them with clear information about
  their role as volunteers in our organisations is essential for attracting volunteers in
  the first place but also to keep them with us for the longest time possible.
