Asian Women Lone Parents Association (AWLPA) Seek Director (P/T)*

Salary:        PO 2, (NJC scale 35 -38) £29,236-£31,754 Pro-rata plus ILA £3,299

Hours:         5 days a week / 16 hours per week (Monday & Wednesday & Thursday)

AWLPA provides pioneering domestic violence / mental health services to enable South Asian lone mothers to access services to improve their quality of lives.

We provide outreach & mental health services to build confidence and self-esteem in order to enable our clients to access to other key services. We need someone with strong commitment and a passion to support vulnerable Asian women. 

AWLPA is looking to recruit a part-time Director for a five year ‘You are NOT Alone’ project.  The project is supported by the Big Lottery Fund- Reaching Communities.

We are looking for someone with

  • At least 3 years experience of delivery services in the charity sector preferably for vulnerable women 
  • A drive and commitment to lead this niche charity to its next phase of expansion & development.
  • Experience in project management and a successful fundraising record in current climate

Hillingdon Refugee Support Group Seek Youth Support Worker

Salary:      £11 per hour

Hours:       14 hours per week (including outreach/evenings and unsociable hours)

The Youth Support Worker will be responsible to the Project Manager for the delivery of youth-led projects and outreach for young asylum seekers and refugees.

The post will involve supporting the Project Manager in achieving the four project outcomes;

1. Young asylum seekers develop an improved support network, new skills and friendship in the community.

2. Reduced sense of isolation and alienation for young asylum seekers in Hillingdon and improved integration into British society.

3. Young asylum seekers have better access to social and leisure opportunities achieving a better degree of integration in the community.

4. Young asylum seekers have increased confidence and self-esteem enabling them to reach their full potential.
